Have you Visited our Learning Centre?More and more of our clients, and others who are evaluating the software, are watching the on-line tutorials found on our web site in the Learning Centre. We are pleased with the positive comments we have been receiving. The tutorials are designed to increase proficiency in using our software, and also help train new staff who need to use AGROBASE Generation II® in their organization. There are currently 11 on-line tutorials with sound and video, from about 6 to 24 minutes in length, all running with QuickTime® which can be downloaded from our web site if needed. The topics currently covered are: the research tree explorer that "drives" the software, importing experiments and treatments, creating and managing user-defined traits or variables, defining locations, importing data with the special link to Excel®, viewing data in an experiment, generating labels, transforming data, and performing an ANOVA. For example, to watch an in-depth tutorial on how to view your data in AGROBASE Generation II, click here. More tutorials will be developed in the coming months – please visit our web site, you will find the Learning Centre under the new "Resources" tab.
So how do these on-line tutorials relate to our training courses? We expect that the Learning Centre will enhance the value of our training courses. For all our training courses, we will expect that everyone at the introductory level will have at least watched the on-line tutorials. This way, trainees will find the course more valuable with more time spent on learning how to adapt the software to one’s unique needs and answer more specific questions. This also means that the entire course can be taught at a more advanced level, studying the software’s capabilities in greater depth. |
