Released February 2010, the first version includes the following features.
This module will handle seed lots, seed traits, seed allocation and much more – all fully integrated within AGROBASE Generation II. This module will be developed only for the SQL-Server Version.
The main features are:
Create new or additional seed lots for any genotype, whether from an experiment or a yield trial, a population in a nursery, or simply within the germplasm system of Generation II for treatments, parents, or populations.
Restrict adding seed to new or existing seed lots from only some blocks from replicated designs.
Define seed lot locations within any hierarchical levels as specified by the user.
Manage seed lot groups – create, sort, edit, delete, assign to locations.
Manage seed lots – split, merge, create, delete, add or remove seed, assign to a seed lot group.
Maintain multiple seed lots for any genotype.
View a complete history of transactions for all seed lots, or any group thereof.
Export seed lot information.
Specify and use seed lot traits for seed inventory management.
Import data for seed lots – whether repeated tests for germination, viability, etc.
Allocate seed from seed inventory for experiments or nurseries.
Deallocate seed for genotypes from respective seed lots, individually or by group.
Print reports and labels from seed inventory.
Define and maintain seed lot allocation equations.
Display parent-child relationships among seed lots of the same genotype.
Display treatments, parents, or populations along with their seed lots.
Export seed directly from the system and document the transaction.
