Generation II can store more than numeric, date, and character data. With this module, you can display digital images throughout Generation II. The actual images are not stored in Generation II; they are simply linked by a file path to your research group.
Varieties or genotypes: link and display an almost unlimited number of images to display the growth stages, flower colour or shape, plant components and characteristics, or even molecular markers, for example.
Traits: link and display images to any trait, such as different stages or types of disease reactions or insects, different scores for growth stages, and more. This helps researchers to maintain consistency and repeatability of scoring between researchers.
Experiments: link and display images for an experiment at each location or environment to help you remember what the experiment or trial looked like years ago, from planting to emergence to later growth stages and to harvest.
Locations: link and display images for an entire location, helpful when reflecting on genotype x environment results within and across years.
Plots: One or more images may be linked for each plot in each experiment, with reports easily generated. Images could be taken for a series of traits at each plot.
Scan images directly from AGROBASE Generation II using various image format types: BMP, JPG, TGA, TIF, PCX, EPS, WMF.
Link/unlink one or more images to a treatment, variety, trait, or experiment.
Move quickly between linked images using the picture toolbar.
Save description information for each linked image.
Zoom images from 25 to 200%.
Rotate, reverse and flip images at fixed or user-defined angles.
Select and crop images to a selected area.
Print images in both black-and-white or colour.
